The Friends Association – Introducing Ourselves!

The Friends Association of the Orientierungsstufe München Neuperlach e.V. is actively involved in the various activities at ORI. It consists of parents of current and former students. In addition, there are people who support the ORI organizationally and financially. In the interview, chairwoman Bettina Dötzer presents the tasks of the Friends Association.
What tasks does the ORI Friends Association have?
We support the school at the following events:
• Open Days
• Summer festivals
• Member meetings
• Cooperation with the ORI Parents Association
• Alumni gatherings
• Contacts with local politicians to advance school policy
• Public relations
How is the ORI Friends Association organized?
The board of the non profit association has 10 people. The association has 50 members who pay a contribution of 15 Euros per year.
Which events does the ORI Friends Association support?
We are present at several festivals and concerts in the summer, before the Christmas holidays, and in the spring, informing parents and children, selling cake, and awarding book vouchers to students who excel in the reading challenge.
We have a booth at the Open House Day and on the days of the 5th grade enrollment as well as the farewell ceremony for the 6th grades.
At the annual benefit concerts, in which teachers, students, and pupils take part, we stand at the entrance and sell the tickets.
Which projects does the ORI Friends Association fund?
We use the money from our donation account for admission to the Deutsches Museum, T shirts and hoodies for the school teams and tickets for families to the zoo.
